Long Beach, CA — 3/2022 - 9/2022
Field Study was an experimental light and sound installation at The Lab at Compound, a cultural complex in Long Beach, CA dedicated to the intersection of art and community engagement to promote connectivity and belonging.
The installation, a study for Sensory Field, was composed of repeated translucent scrims laid out to create a series of rooms and interstitial spaces. Multi-spectral sequences undulate between revealing the space entire, and enveloping visitors in localized color and sound, creating the perception of spatial elasticity. Participants experience themselves either fully contained in an opaque color-sound space, or connected to other areas within the installation by the mere manipulation of light and sound.
Telluride, CO — OPENING 2024
Fluid State lives within Deep Creek Mine in Telluride, CO. The 60-foot long light and sound installation is suspended in the mine’s longest shaft, a pitch-black void the length of a football field in the heart of the mountain.
The work is composed of four connected spaces defined by a series of translucent scrims and dimensional sound. Light generated from sound waves illuminates and activates each of the four chambers using Chromasonic Refrequencing.
You and your fellow participants morph between presence and absence as your field of view continuously evolves, and space appears to expand and contract. Awash in light and sound, you are in a timeless flow of perceptual awareness and interaction.

Los Angeles, CA — OPENING 2023
Sensory Field is a hyper-immersive matrix of spaces in which sound frequencies generate light in real-time, continuously morphing as you wander between the structures or choose to pause inside them.
Multispectral sequences undulate between revealing the vast site and enveloping you in localized color and sound, creating the perception of spatial elasticity. Your movement within the work allows for different visceral experiences inside this multidimensional installation at any given time.
Chromasones are monumental immersive light and sound sculptures for up to 250 participants.
By day the sculpture’s self-generative light and color sequences are responsive to participants and convert light to sound in real-time.
By night, live performers bring Chromasone alive as an interactive light and sound instrument.
